Directions
first stage
Reduce Inflammation and Swelling
If you are suffering from severe muscular tightness in the neck and back that has been unresponsive, use Gua Sha tool.
Apply Herbal Ice to the injured area.
Leave on until dries or apply over night.
Between Herbal Ice treatments apply Acute Injury Liniment to the injury.
Lightly stroke above and below injury.
Apply Acute Injury Liniment as needed.
Repeat the process by using Herbal Ice and Acute Injury Liniment until swelling and inflammation have resolved.
second stage
Relax Spasm and Stiffness
Next apply, Tendon Injury Liniment to the injury.
Lightly stroke above and below injury.
Apply as needed, especially before and after activity.
Continue to use until stiffness and tightness resolve.
Apply Acute Injury Liniment daily, as needed.
Don’t forget to lightly massage above and below injury.
Cupping, can be used to release stiffness, tightness, and spasm in the back and neck.
Use Yunnan Bai Yao Plaster nightly until spasm and stiffness are relaxed.
third stage
Restore movement and strength
During this phase of repair use Tendon Injury Liniment in conjunction with gentle stretching exercises, physical therapy, or other forms of rehabilitation.
Use Tendon Injury Liniment before and after activity. Make sure to massage into the injury as well as above and below the injury.
Continue to use Acute Injury Liniment before and after practice or a game. This will prevent re-injury of the back.
Use Yunnan Bai Yao Plaster nightly until full range of motion is restored.
Notes
Depending on the severity of the injury it may take 3-4 weeks to repair.
If you are practicing or competing in cold weather use Po So Mon Liniment before and after.
Po So Mon Liniment can be applied a couple of times per day. Lightly stroke above and below injury.
Herbal Ice contains pigments from the plants, which may turn the skin yellow, temporarily.
If you do not want to make a poultice switch out Herbal Ice with Wu Yang Plaster.
Cupping and Gua Sha, temporarily leaves marks on the skin for a few days.
DO NOT perform Cupping or Gua Sha until marks have faded away.
During this time please keep the area covered from draft exposure
Towel off the area when wet and cover.
